“Hen Party”

We have just got back from a fantastic weekend at Mountain Mayhem!! A massive thank you to Vicki and the team for hosting us! From beginning to end it we had an amazing time, nothing was too much trouble. The accommodation was of a high standard, with good up to date facilities. The food onsite from the bar menu to the breakfast and lunch was excellent, freshly prepared and very generous portions! So we spent most of the weekend full! We choose the indoor shooting and assault course activities for the weekend which were excellent. At this time of year it could have been freezing but there was a heater, free flowing tea/coffee and biscuits whilst others were shooting so you never felt like you were waiting around. The range of guns used was more than we expected and it was a great competitive sport which bought a lot of laughs and entertainment for the morning. The numbers we had also meant out hen participated in every event for every team so never had to sit down! The assault course just down the road had a lot of variety and could be challenging or had easier options if some of the group had different abilities which mean everyone could get involved. Again full of laughs! We expected to get muddier and our group would have been up for some muddy options to add into this (perhaps a cargo net crawl through mud or something). Overall a fantastic weekend and would highly recommend for hen and stag parties or for groups of friends wanting an activity packed weekend!

“Fab Hen do!”

Travelled all the way from East Kent to visit Mountain Mayhem for my hen do and it was worth every mile of motorway traffic endured to get there! Vicki organised everything for us and took a couple of last minute changes in her stride. Some of our activities were off site; we followed Vicki's directions to the letter and they were brilliant. Mountain Mayhem itself was in a fantastic spot and in spite of us being over an hour late (no signal to phone ahead) everyone was very welcoming and accommodating. Lunch was exactly what we needed after a morning's pony trekking in the mountains and there was no pressure on us to rush even though we were behind schedule. Vicki and Abbi supervised our quad biking (much needed!) and were fantastic, very friendly and approachable and up for a giggle, but at the same time very clear with instructions and very particular about health and safety. As we were absolute novices there was plenty of opportunity to get to know the bike with some mini circuits and an obstacle course which was both brilliant fun and educational! Gave us the opportunity to learn the skills required to go off on a trek around the grounds tackling some interesting (and muddy!) natural obstacles on the way round. That was my favourite!! We were quite sad to be leaving so soon as we only spent an afternoon with Mountain Mayhem due to other activities being elsewhere. We stayed at a hotel in Hereford so I can't comment on the bunk house but the facilities we did use were spotlessly clean and based on that I'd be more than happy to stay on site. We'd certainly like to give some of the other motorsports a go... we just need to find the right excuse to come back!! I've ticked 'suitable for rainy day' as I really don't mind getting wet and muddy as long as there's a good shower available (there was) but I understand there are some indoor activities too for those who prefer to keep dry. Mountain Mayhem - highly recommended - book it now!!! :-)
